In the beginning of the history of Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry it was originated from the Chitwan National Park entrance the then, Devauli V.D.C. At that time this area was a trade and economic hub of whole Eastern Chitwan. People immigrated from different parts of the country and started the business here.
Being the gateway of main tourism destination and center location of eastern Chitwan, the local entrepreneurs dream about a purely commercial organization for the protection of their rights, interest and promotion of trade, which subsequently results the establishment of the Merchant Association Ratnanagar on 2023 B.S. Well this organization disintegrated on 2031 B.S. due to various reasons and registered under the NGO Registration Act in the office of District Administration Chitwan on 2054 B.S. with the name of Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has been working for its members for their rights and interests and promotion of proficiency. It has an affiliation with Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has become an energetic and goal oriented platform of trade, industry, agriculture and tourism including health, education and infrastructure development of Eastern Chitwan. Although RCCI is a nonprofit making private sector representative organization of trade and industry community, it has made a substantial impact to local socio-economic development of Eastern Chitwan.
